Narrated by Mu’adh bin Jabal, the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) once took Mu’adh’s hand and said, “O Mu’adh, I swear by Allah, I truly love you.” Mu’adh responded, “May my father and mother be sacrificed for you, O Messenger of Allah! I swear by Allah, I love you too.” The Prophet then advised Mu’adh, saying, “I counsel you, O Mu’adh, never to neglect after every prayer to say: ‘O Allah, help me remember You, express gratitude to You, and worship You in the best manner.'”

A man prayed alongside Abdullah bin Amr bin Al-As, who, after finishing the prayer, recited, “O Allah, You are the Peace, and Peace comes from You. Blessed are You, O Possessor of Majesty and Honor!” The same man later prayed with Abdullah bin Umar and heard him say the same words. Allahumma Rabbana wa Rabb kulli shay, ij’alni mukhlisan laka wa ahli fi kulli sa’ah fi al-dunya wa al-akhirah. Ya Dhal-Halal wal-Ikram, isma’ wa-stajib. Allah Akbaru al-Akbar. Narrated by Zaid bin Arqam: The Prophet ﷺ used to say at the end of his prayer: “O Allah, our Lord, the Lord of everything, I bear witness that You are the Lord alone, with no partner. O Allah, our Lord, the Lord of everything, I bear witness that Muhammad is Your servant and Your Messenger. O Allah, our Lord, the Lord of everything, I bear witness that all the servants are brothers. O Allah, our Lord, the Lord of everything, make me sincerely devoted to You and my family in every moment in this world and the Hereafter. O Possessor of Halal and Honor, hear and respond. Allah is the Greatest, Allah is the Greatest. O Allah, the Light of the heavens and the earth. Allah is the Greatest, Allah is the Greatest. Allah is Sufficient for me, and He is the Best Disposer of affairs. Allah is the Greatest, Allah is the Greatest.”

Narrated by Zaid bin Arqam, from Ali (may Allah be pleased with him), who said: When the Prophet ﷺ completed the prayer and said the tasleem (salutation), he would say: “O Allah, forgive me for what I have done in the past and what I may do in the future, what I have concealed and what I have made public, and what I have exceeded in. You know best about me. You are the Bringer forward and the Delayer. There is no deity except You.”
